Tours
Tours in Observv allow you to organize and showcase content within a property, combining Photos and Hotspots, and into a structured and interactive format. Whether you’re presenting a property to clients, documenting progress, or sharing detailed visual information, Tours provide a clear and efficient way to manage and share this content.
Why use tours?

How To
Create a tour
| Click the Properties icon. |
| Select the Property you want to create a tour of. |
| Click the Tours icon from within the property. |
| Select the Create Tour button. |
| In the Details tab, fill out the following information: |
| - Name: Enter the name of the tour. |
| - Tour Description: Optionally, add a description. |
| -Access Type: Select who can view the tour (Access Type cannot be edited once the tour is created) |
| - Subject to permissions |
| Anyone with property permissions can see this tour. |
| - All Organization members |
| Everyone in the organization can see this tour |
| - All ObservV users |
| Anyone with an ObservV account can see this tour (log-in required) |
| - Public |
| Anyone can view this tour (no log-in required) |
| - Managed by: Select who can edit the tour. |
| - Content managers and above: Content managers, team managers, account managers and account owners |
| - Team managers and above: Team managers, account managers and account owners |
| - Account managers and above: Account managers and account owners |
| Select an Expiry date or choose This tour does not expire. |
| Choose to switch on HD photos to enable high-definition image viewing. |
| Choose Clustering if you want attached photos to be shown attached to the parent photo. |
| Choose whether to show the Date Taken or the Photo Name. |
| Once details are filled out, click Next. |
| In the Structure tab, select the floor and the hotspots you wish to include in the tour: |
| Select the floor and then select the hotspots. |
| - A green hotspot means it is included in the tour. |
| - A red hotspot means it is not included in the tour. |
| Add photos to the hotspots by clicking Add photos for each included hotspot. |
| Once all hotspots and photos are selected, click Next. |
| In the Opening view tab: |
| Set the photo a tour opens on by clicking the Select button. |
| Select the floor, hotspot and then choose from the included photos. |
| Click Save to save and close the tour editor. |
Regenerate tour key
| Click the Properties icon. |
| Select the Property containing the tour you want to regenerate the key for. |
| Click the Tours icon within the property. |
| Select the tour you want to regenerate the key for. |
| Click the Edit button on the tour's details page. |
| In the Details tab, locate and click Regenerate tour key. |
| A message will pop up warning that regenerating the key will invalidate any old links, causing anyone who had access via those links to lose access. |
| Select OK to confirm the regeneration or Cancel to cancel the action. |
| Once confirmed, the tour key will be regenerated, and the updated key will be required for new access. |
Add or remove a hotspot in a tour
| Click the Properties icon. |
| Select the Property containing the tour you want to edit. |
| Click the Tours icon from within the property. |
| Select the tour you want to edit from the list. |
| Click the Edit button. |
| Navigate to the Structure tab. |
| Select the floor you want to modify. |
| To Add a hotspot: |
| Click on the Red hotspot (not currently included) to turn it Green (included). |
| To Remove a hotspot: |
| Click on the Green hotspot (included) to turn it Red (not included). |
| Click Save to save and close the tour editor. |
Add or remove a photo in a tour
| Click the Properties icon. |
| Select the Property containing the tour you want to edit. |
| Click the Tours icon from within the property. |
| Select the tour you want to edit from the list. |
| Click the Edit button. |
| Navigate to the Structure tab. |
| Select the floor and hotspot where you want to add or remove a photo. |
| To Add a photo: |
| Click Add photos for the chosen hotspot and select the photos you want to include. |
| To Remove a photo: |
| Click Add photos for the chosen hotspot and select the photos you want to remove. |
| Click Save to save and close the tour editor. |
Edit a tour
| Click the Properties icon. |
| Select the Property containing the tour you want to edit. |
| Click the Tours icon from within the property. |
| Select the tour you want to edit from the list. |
| Click the Edit button. |
| In the Details tab, you can edit: |
| - Name: Edit the name of the tour. |
| - Tour Description: Add or editthe tour's description. |
| - Managed by: Change who can edit the tour. |
| - Expiry date: Edit the expiry date or choose if the tour never expires. |
| - HD photos and Clustering: Switch these options On/Off as needed. |
| - Choose whether to show the Date Taken or the Photo Name. |
| Note: The Access Type cannot be edited once the tour is created. |
| Click Save to save and close the tour editor. |
Delete a tour
| Click the Properties icon. |
| Select the Property containing the tour you want to delete. |
| Click the Tours icon from within the property. |
| Select the tour you want to delete from the list. |
| Click the Edit button. |
| Click the Delete tour button on the Details tab. |
| Confirm that you want to delete the tour . |
| Note: Once a tour is deleted, it cannot be recovered, and all associated URLs will be invalid. |
Share a tour
| Click the Properties icon. |
| Select the Property containing the tour you want to share. |
| Click the Tours icon from within the property. |
| Select the tour you want to share from the list. |
| Click the View button.. |
| Once the tour is open, copy the URL from the address bar of your browser. |
| Share the copied link with anyone you want to give access to the tour. |
| - The URL shared will open the tour on the photo and orientation that was visible when you copied the link. |
| - Access to the tour will depend on the Access Type set in the tour's settings. |
| - If the tour is public, anyone with the link can view it. |
| - For restricted access types, only users with the appropriate permissions will be able to view the tour. |
View a tour
| Click the Properties icon. |
| Select the Property containing the tour you want to share. |
| Click the Tours icon from within the property. |
| Select the tour you want to share from the list. |
| Click the View button.. |
| - The tour will open in a new tab. |
